Using my digital calipers tiles measure 4.29" wide on the self-spacing lugs and .31" thickMeasures 4.26" wide on the square edge. These tiles have self-spacing lugs; little bumps on the edges that separate the tiles for grouting.These tiles were made in the1950's -1980's Using a Vintage American Olean tile chart: Cobalt Blue #345 These New Old Stock Tiles have a matte type glazed with a textured finish...called crystalline glazed by the maker.Imprinted on back of tiles is: American or A O with numbers & made in USA.
