Protect & Shine is a rapid return to service product making it ideal for retail and commercial floors where maintenance must be performed during after hours. It is also perfect for residential floors especially when there are pets present or the floors get heavy use. Active Elements™ – Protect & Shine should be applied over the top of a base sealer such as Active Elements™ – Advance Seal. Coverage 500 – 1000 square feet per gallon Coverage variations depend on concrete surface porosity and amount of material applied. As Active Elements – Protect & Shine is being applied it should make the floor look wet but not milky. If you are seeing a milky haze, reduce the amount of material being applied per square foot. Each successive coat should be applied perpendicular to the previous coat in order to reduce lap marks. ***For interior use only.*** Initial application on a floor — apply 4-8 thin coats. As a maintenance application — apply 1-2 thin coats. Thinning Do not thin. Clean Up Tools can be cleaned with soap and water. Storage and Shelf Life Do not allow to freeze. Shelf life of unopened product is approximately one year. Slip and Fall Precautions Water or other foreign substances will cause a floor coated with Floor Finish to become slippery. ALWAYS use a “Wet Floor” sign when moisture is present. Safety Do not breathe vapors. When using in confined or limited ventilation areas, use appropriate respirator to protect against breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin; wear protective gloves and clothing. Always use eye protection such as goggles, face shield or safety glasses. Read Material Safety Data Sheet before using. First Aid Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Seek medical attention. Skin Contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Wipe excess from skin and wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists. Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Seek medical attention. Moisture Vapor Emissions / Alkalinity Precautions All interior concrete floors not poured over an effective moisture vapor barrier/inhibitor are subject to possible moisture vapor transmission and related high levels of alkalinity that may lead to blistering and failure of the coating system. It is the coating applicator’s responsibility to conduct calcium chloride and relative humidity probe testing to determine if excessive levels of vapor emissions or alkalinity are present before applying any coatings. Howard Restor-A-Finish
Restores Color To Faded Wood FinishesBlends Out Scratches & BlemishesRemoves White Heat Rings Howard Restor-A-Finish Restor-A-Finish is a unique finish-penetrating formula that restores the original color and luster to your finish while blending out the blemishes and minor scratches. Restor-A-Finish restores the finish in one step – without removing any of the existing finish. Restore It – Don’t Strip It! With a simple wipe-on, wipe-off process, most finished wood surfaces that seem to need a refinishing job can be completely restored in a few minutes. White heat rings and water marks, sun fade, oxidation, smoke damage, and most other blemishes can be quickly eliminated. Before you go to the extreme of stripping it, try restoring it! Restor-A-Finish is available in nine colors: Neutral, Maple-Pine, Golden Oak, Cherry, Walnut, Mahogany, Dark Walnut, Dark Oak, and Ebony Brown. – And We Carry All The Colors! Treat Scratches, Nicks, and Abrasions Restor-A-Finish works best when applied with a small pad of toweling, or for severe white rings and crazing, with Super Fine(0000) steel wool. DO NOT pour directly on the finish. When using steel wool, always rub with the grain of the wood. First, determine the pressure you should use on an inconspicuous spot, as the hardness of finishes vary. Revive Wood Finishes Wipe on the appropriate color of Restor-A-Finish with a clean cloth. Let it stand for a few minutes then wipe dry. If you desire a slightly darker shade, simply apply a darker color of Restor-A-Finish. White Heat Rings and Water Marks Apply Restor-A-Finish (see above) with steel wool and rub hard enough with the grain of the wood to blend out the white effect. If high gloss finish should appear dull due to the use of steel wool, polish it out with a Howard Polishing Compound or Burnishing Cream. Raised and Blistered Finishes Apply Neutral Restor-A-Finish (to prevent darkening of wood beyond temporary “wet effect”) with steel wool. As blisters soften press down while the Restor-A-Finish is applied. Wipe dry, and again later if the surface “blooms” with excess Restor-A-Finish. Restore Minor Crazed or Checked Finishes Apply Restor-A-Finish with Fine Grade(000) steel wool. Rub hard enough to smooth out the finish, periodically checking your progress. Checked or crazed surfaces may absorb an excess of Restor-A-Finish and “bloom out” requiring another wiping later. Treat Carved Wood Restor-A-Finish has saved many hours of labor by restoring the finish on carved portions of furniture and clocks. Simply apply Restor-A-Finish with a small paint brush or soft tooth brush and wipe off.
