MCM Vintage Cast Aluminum Satin Black Colonial Four Toggle Switch Plate Cover by Acorn This listing is for one (1) vintage metal Four Toggle Colonial Reproduction Switch Plate Cover made in the USA by Acorn Manufacturing Co., #0354B. The Satin Black Colonial Reproduction light switch cover is new old stock, circa 1950-60’s. This decorative cast aluminum wall switch plate cover measures approximately 8 1/8” by 4 ½” (5 5/8” tall with the scrollwork). These MCM switch plates are unused and come either loose or in the original worn bag, all with 8 matching screws. Slight variations in the finish can be expected as these were hand cast. These well-crafted mid-century modern colonial reproduction switch plates graced the walls of many of the finest custom homes built in the 1950’s and the 1960’s. Replace those paint covered receptacle covers with new 50+ year-old, high quality, cast aluminum originals! I recently purchased over 500 vintage Acorn Manufacturing receptacle covers from the liquidation of an 80-year-old neighborhood hardware store in Northeast Philadelphia. These high-quality, American made outlet plates, switch covers, and receptacle covers were manufactured in Mansfield, Massachusetts in the 1950’s and the 1960’s. Acorn Manufacturing today is a 3rd generation family owned and run business and has long been known as the “Cadillac” of reproduction colonial hardware.
