2023 Rheem Performance Plus electric water heater 40 gallon, 5500Watts, 240 V

Like new water heater in great condition. Wrong amperage for my electric panel, was filled with water and immediately emptied in less than 10 minutes before it could trip my breaker. Fully emptied before being put in storage. The plumber who installed it for me said he couldn’t return it. Unused 9 year warranty, manufactured in September 2023. 5500 watts, 240 V. The heating cables are easily snapped into place on top of the uncoupling mat with no clips or fasteners. The installer has complete flexibility on where the cables are placed so every installation is customized to suit the exact requirements of the owner. Because they are held securely within the DITRA-HEAT mat, there is no need to use self-leveling compounds to encapsulate the heating cables. Instead of waiting for a leveling compound to set, tile installation can begin immediately, resulting in a much faster installation. Very important: Never CUT or modify the heating cable in any way. This would change the cable resistance, will cause damage to the cable, and could cause cable overheating. Install the heating cable at a spacing of 3 studs (3-1/2″ – 9 cm).A narrower spacing may cause a fire or damage the floor covering. NEVER install the factory splice (i.e., black plastic junction between the cold lead and gray heating cable) in the wall. This will cause overheating, system failure, and could cause a fire. This splice must be installed entirely under the floor covering, as shown in the heating cable installation instructions. It is helpful to plan the location of a buffer zone, as it is not always possible to predict where the heating cable will end. The buffer zone is an area where heating is not essential, typically behind a toilet or adjacent to a door opening. This area allows for placement of excess heating cable.
