Vintage Freestanding Wood-Burning Stove Works great! You’ll be glad you have a backup plan for heating in case of an emergency or to supplement your heating. New wood stoves cost $6,000 – $8,000. Great for a cabin or basement, workshop, or living room. The flue take-off size is 6″ but it comes with an 8″ adapter so you could use either size stainless steel flue liner. You must use a U.L. listed insulated stainless steel flue liner in a masonry chimney, or a CLASS A double-wall insulated stainless steel chimney with this stove. Do NOT connect this stove to a prefabricated wood chimney chase. Place on a concrete floor or place a stove board on the floor. 36″ clearance to combustibles. Non-U.L. listed.Estimated BTUs – 80,000 We estimate that this was manufactured in the 1970’s but made to look like an antique stove design with mica for the glass.
