It produces a stunning deep reddish mahogany looking tone on most lighter woods. It is highly desirable for antique restoration. It is a very popular shade for a warm looking general finish on light to medium woods. It will produce one of the most beautiful finishes in woodworking. Please note that various colors of shellac and die can be mixed to produce millions of various shades. Samples can be made to produce any color needed for your project. As with all finishes, it is recommended that samples be created prior to committing an entire project. This is a good habit to get into before applying any kind of die, varnish, stain, or paint. This avoids surprises as to what the final results will be. Our Ruby shellac is also dewaxed. This provides the advantage of being fully compatible with any other kind of finishing products such as Polyurethane, Waterlox, dies etc.Shellac is all-natural. It is non-toxic and is a resin of insect origin that is harvested regularly and is a completely renewable resource much like silk.Shellac flakes are dissolved by denatured alcohol. It’s very easy to use and an excellent non-toxic choice for woodworkers. Shellac can be applied with a brush, pad, sprayer, or wiping cloth. It has a super fast dry time, thus saving money and aggravation.Shellac is UV – resistant and does not yellow or darken over time.Shellac will adhere tenaciously to virtually any surface and is much less brittle than lacquer and does not scratch as easily. Unlike toxic polyurethane, a damaged shellac finish can easily be touched up or renewed by applying another coat. A new coat of shellac melts itself into the existing coat.Unlike other types of finish, all types of shellac can be applied in cold temperatures without concern over proper drying and curing times.Shellac enhances the beauty of wood grain unlike any other finish. Shellac is one of the only wood finishes that really brings out the natural beauty of wood without that fake plastic look. Geoloop Leak Seal For Heat and forRadiant Floor Geothermal systems 8 oz. Bottle Many radiant heated floor systems have been shut down because of small line leaks that can’t be found or fixed. Home owners can then be faced with the cost and installation of a partial or whole new HVAC system. If a hole[s] develops in one of the lines, it can be a radiant floor disaster. If you can find a company that is willing to try and fix a radiant floor leak, the demolition of finished floors and concrete, plus the cost, is incredible and may not always prove satisfactory. However, there is simple solution using GEOLOOP LEAK SEAL that is usually effective, and may be worth your while. Method: Try to isolate the line with the leak and use an external sump pump and no less than a five gallon container. Allow the water to circulate through the line and monitor the water level drop in the container. This will allow you to determine the water loss. If not too severe add the GEOLOOP LEAK SEAL to the container, after following mixing instructions, and allow the solution to re-circulate through the loop. If and when the level holds, you know you have stopped the leak. Continue to re-circulate for an additional 2-3 hours. Clear the line with air and let it set for 48 hours. You can then pressure test the line between 10-20 psi. If the pressure holds re-add your water, add the heat and pressure up to 15-20 psi. In most cases, this method will work 80-85% of the time. You now should have a leak repair lasting for many years. If this method is not effective in your circumstance, a manual repair would be required.
