Flames will contact the glass periodically, this product has been manufactured to resist breaking against extreme temperature changes (thermal shock). Ceramic glass can withstand up to three times the heat of tempered glass. CERAMIC GLASS TIPS, TRICKS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Metal screws and mounting hardware also expand when exposed to high temperatures! LOPI Endeavor, Parlor, Patriot glass stove door Glass With Gasket

This is a new glass is 3/16 thick and about 15 3/8 X 8 7/8 in the center and 7 5/8 on the rt and left ends with an arch top. This glass fits the Endeavor and earlier stoves by Lopi. this door is the one with a large heavy inside trim ring. We buy large sheets of ceramic stove glass by the case direct from the ceramic glass distributer. We cut them to size and wet sand the edges for a safe custom fit. This is the same high temp glass used by Lopi for a fraction of the cost. Thanks for looking
