Since you cannot cut a Type B pipe to fit in an exact space, this component slides onto the male end of another piece of Type B pipe by use of a double wall sleeve to add another 3″ to 10″ of length to that pipe when you can’t get a standard length of pipe to fit. Sliding it back and forth over the other pipe, you can adjust the correct length to between 3″ and 10″. Then you tighten the screw on the outer sleeve of this pipe to seal it tight. You can also connect another brand of Type B pipe to the Dura Vent pipe by sliding this pipe over the male end of the other brand pipe, thus being able to repair another brand of pipe or lengthen it without having to replace all of it with Dura Vent.
