Our System F2 removable access door comprises a welded aluminum frame, concealed touch latches and a ½” (12.7 mm) drywall inlay. After installation and finishing, a small reveal of 1/16″ (1.59 mm) is visible between the outer frame and the access door. Any access door over 12″ (305mm) has a safety-system to prevent accidental openings. This safety system must reset after each use. The rough opening of the hole is the door size + 3/8″ (9mm). Easy Installation: The panel’s overall size is 14.01 x 17.99 inches, with a mounting size of 12 x 16 inches.Position the panel against the wall where you plan to install it and outline the frame with a pencil along the flange. You can use a bubble level to align the panel with the floor or wall. Cut the wall using a saw along the pencil line approximately 1-2mm higher than the marked outline of the panel. Apply sealant on the back of the access panel frame and press it into place. Done! Time Tested Design: Our access panel can be surface-mounted or flush-mounted. Our plastic access door can be open 180 degrees. The hinged door is also completely removable for better access. Self contained access panel, requires no framing, screws, latches or fasteners.
