ASX 120 with Dual Cartridge Water Treatment SystemA new addition to Amerec’s line of Scale-X Water Treatment Systems designed to extend the life of steam bath generators. The ASX120 is designed for use with residential or light commercial installations. The ASX120 features a Scale-X2 filter to reduce scale build-up. It will also reduce chlorine and sediment from water by trapping particulates in a second filter as water passes through the system.Scale build-up in steam generating equipment is known to reduce the life of the equipment and possibly shut it down totally. Scale is developed primarily from calcium and magnesium in water and is measured in hardness. Over time, scale build-up impedes steam production, reduces energy efficiency, increases maintenance requirements and eventually causes equipment to shut down.
