Improved pleated media provides 3 times the carbon media vs flat panel carbon filters. No messy, loose carbon particles with our carbon infused media. Approximately MERV 8 efficiency rating. Made in the USA.Pure Carbon Pleated Odor Reduction AC furnace air filters by Nordic Pure are made with a durable non-woven polyester base media infused with naturally derived charcoal and coconut shells, created to eliminate odors in your office or home. What’s special about carbon? While traditional electrostatic air filters capture airborne particles, activated carbon furnace filters absorb odors on a molecular level. This means harmful vapors and strong odors are trapped and neutralized, leaving healthier, fresher air. Carbon furnace filters can reduce tough odors from pets, garbage, bathrooms, and smoke while helping to deodorize cooking smells and other unwanted scents. Additionally, carbon A/C air filters help to remove gases, contaminants, and levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), such as chemicals from household cleaning products. This Pure Carbon Pleated Air Filter offers all the benefits of activated carbon, along with a Nordic Pure MERV 8 rating. Therefore, large airborne particles including lint, dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, and smoke particles are effectively captured and removed. If you are looking for cleaner, healthier air in every room of your house, Pure Carbon Pleated air filters will aid in absorbing impurities and unfavorable odors. It can also be beneficial to those who suffer from allergies or respiratory issues. Our pleated design provides three times as much carbon media per A/C filter while maintaining excellent air flow. Like all our furnace filters, Pure Carbon Pleated AC filters are manufactured using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame, with a metal mesh support grid, bonded to the pleats for extra support. The air conditioner filter media will not support the growth of mold or bacteria on the air filter itself. These odor eliminator air filters with activated carbon can be used in residences as a stand-alone filter. They can also be used as a pre-filter in high-efficiency commercial HVAC units. Remember, it is important to regularly change your AC air filters, especially during home improvements, to protect your HVAC unit and provide cleaner air. For maximum odor control, we recommend that you replace your Pure Carbon Pleated air conditioning filter every 30-90 days, depending on your unique home environment. Important Note: Almost all furnace air filters have a different Actual Size (the exact dimensions) than Nominal Size (the name) printed on the air conditioning filter. It is best to measure the exact size of your A/C filter and compare it to our Actual Size to be sure your HVAC replacement filter will fit!FAQ- Frequently Asked Questions Where are my air filters located? Air conditioner and furnace filters in most homes are generally located behind an air intake grill in your home’s walls, ceiling, basement or attic. These generally look like large vents, but the air flows into them, rather than out of them when the heating or cooling system is blowing air. They may also be located in or near the air conditioner or furnace. Many homes may have more than one, and they may be different sizes. Contact your heating or cooling professional if you can’t find them. How will my filters arrive? Nordic Pure Filter’s arrive in a specially designed box that can be reclosed to keep your extra filters clean. Your filters do not arrive individually wrapped in plastic. Our Nordic Pure box has been designed and tested with a High ECT rated material to ensure that our customers receive their filters intact and undamaged during transit. If they are damaged in transit, simply contact us and we will be happy to file a claim and get you another box of filters. Where do I find the MERV rating of my filters? In order to keep our prices competitive, we do not print the MERV rating on the filter frame. We manufacture and box one MERV rating at a time. When the filters are boxed the MERV rating will either be printed on the side of the box, or a color-coded MERV sticker will be on the side of the box. The product you ordered should also be listed at the bottom of the shipping label. Which direction does my air filter face? There is an airflow direction arrow on the side edge of your Nordic Pure pleated air filter. In the absence of the arrow for the pleated air filters the metal mesh is on the air exit side. For air filters with carbon added the carbon is on the air exit side. On the half inch air filters the smooth MERV material is on the air exit side. I live in an apartment.
