Doors 14ft in length or more will receive 2 springs. Watch out for listings that do not ask you if the door has windows or not, because that does factor into the correct spring selection.You will need to source a proper torsion tube locally, as those cannot be shipped.Standard torsion tubes have a 1″ OD and have thick walls that are torsion rated. (DO NOT USE ELECTRICALCONDUIT PIPE) . Standard torsion tubes have a .060 to .090 wall thickness, and measure 9-12 inches longer than the width of the door. This extra width is needed to support the cable drums and hardware. Please educate yourself on the process of installing these parts and torsion springs before attempting to install. This kit is for a Model 9600 Wayne Dalton. Size selected above. For heights not listed round up to the next foot. All 14, 15, 16 and 18 foot wide doors will come with two springs.**All kits now include basic instructions for installing your new conversion kit** This kit is specific for your door make, model and size. This is not a generic kit that uses the wrong type of cables and bolts that don’t fit. Wayne Dalton doors use smaller brackets and mounts than most other brands. This is why you need a kit that is specific to your door. This kit is to convert your broken Torque Master spring system to an industry standard torsion system. This kit includes everything you will need except for the tube also referred to as the shaft. See notes below for more detailsIncluded are the following items.(1) Set of instructions(1 or 2) Standard 15,000 cycle spring. This spring is calculated for this door.(1) Pair of residential end bearing plates.(1) Residential center bearing spring mount.(1) Pair of standard residential drums.(1) Pair of standard residential cables.(1) Hardware bag (Includes all hardware needed for conversion).****Does not include tube shaft.**** We don’t include the shaft since it would be cost prohibitive to ship. All packages will come with all parts necessary to complete the project.* **Currently springs may be substituted as needed and or one larger spring vs two springs on larger size doors.** This TorqueMaster Kit is for an 16×8 Wayne Dalton Models are: 8000, 8100, 9100, 9600 (Model selected above) This kit is to convert your broken Torque Master spring system to an industry standard torsion system. This kit includes everything you will need except for the tube, also referred to as the shaft *See notes below for more details*Included are the following items:(1) Standard 15,000 cycle spring. The Wayne Dalton 8000 and 8100 series has a 2” frame and exposed metal stiles (where the hinges mount). The model 8000 garage door is a non insulated single layer style door. It has a 2″ thick frame and has exposed metal stiles (where the hinges mount). You will also be able to see the outside door skin from the inside. Wayne Dalton model 8100 garage door is a vinyl backed insulated style door it has inserted panel insulation. You will see a white backed insulation panel. The 9100 and 9600 series is a 1”-1 ½” thick door with integrated horizontal braces. The 9100 model will have a hard cardboard like backer on the inside. The 9600 will be the same metal on the inside and outside. Also feel free to send us a picture of the inside of the door and we can let you know as well.
