This item will allow you to not have to worry about the Door coming loose like the two piece hinges you currently see or have. The plate and hinge are attached with a Cam System that keeps them together and you CAN'T separate them. No more hinge loosening or going out of adjustment with this system. Also the cam makes it easy for you to adjust the door depth or how far it sits away from the cabinet face. Your overlay will depend on how far you drill in from the edge of the door. 1/8"(3mm) bore allows you to attain 1/2" to 9/16". As you drill further from the edge the overlay increases and will max out at about 11/16". REMEMBER YOUR OVERLAY DEPENDS ON YOUR DRILLING DISTANCE FROM THE EDGE.
