Used only a couple times but not suitable for our humid climate. Would definitely work in a hot dry climate! It works by pulling in hot dry air, cooling it down and adding moisture to expel cool refreshing air. It does work! It just was the wrong kind of thing for our high humidity. Super easy to use. Includes a night light. Runs 10 hours on 1 fill.
