This is a vintage, heavy, brass door knocker with a lion's head. The door knocker is 8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide, and weighs 2 pounds, 2.8 ounces. It has two places where you can screw into it (screws not included), but they are not really holes: they do not go all the way through the brass (see 7th photo). So, there must be a way you screw through the door, into the two threaded places in the back of the lion's head to secure the knocker. This wonderful door knocker is in excellent vintage condition: no dents, but finish is worn on knocker part, and there are two small spots of red paint. E-mail us with any questions.
