Titanium Heat Exchanger for Spa Pool Heat Pump / Aquarium Chiller 17,000 BTU The internal heat exchanger is made of pure titanium, offering excellent corrosion resistance and high heat exchange efficiency. It is non-magnetic, non-toxic, and can withstand high temperatures. The outer barrel is made of injection-molded high-strength plastics, forming a secure seal. Corrosion resistant heat exchangers for swimming pool heaters, aquariums, aquaculture, waste heat recovery, water source geothermal heat exchange, and other non-potable water heating or heat transfer use with PVC compatible working fluids. Water Temp Range 32-113F Water Max Pressure 72 PSI Refrigerant Temp Range 58-248F Refrigerant Max Pressure 740 PSI All models use 6mm thick PVC shell with TA1 pure titanium seamless tube. · Compatible with all CFC, HCFC, and HFC refrigerants. · Designed for use with highly chlorinated water and salt water Its unique coil design features titanium and plastic with the added benefit of a fluted titanium construction that yields a 150% increase in efficiency over non titanium coils as well as providing erosion and corrosion once unheard of in the heat exchanger industry. Rather than stainless steel or other materials, only titanium can stand up to the corrosive effects of salts and chlorine in swimming pool water. By installing a Sppvx pool heater you modify the air conditioning systems condenser to a combination of air cooling and more effective water cooling for greater efficiency. When the pool calls for heat and the air conditioner is in operation, waste heat is transferred to the pool water via the water condenser and not dissipated into the air. By recycling waste heat you lower refrigerant temperatures, improve the a/c unit’s efficiency, which in turn lessens the unit’s workload, extending the life of your air conditioning system.
